Information from the website:
Marian Cegielski's Engraving Workshop on Grójecka Street has been in existence since 1980. Mr. Cegielski has been operating independently since 1978. Previously, he studied and worked in the workshop of his brother, Zbigniew Cegielski, an excellent and highly regarded specialist in Poland. Under his brother's guidance, Marian Cegielski collaborated on, among other projects, the construction of the clock at Warsaw's Royal Castle.
In its history, the workshop has created inscriptions on gifts and gadgets for most of the world's great figures, starting with the Holy Father, through the leaders of superpowers, and representatives of culture. The owner has already trained seven apprentices, six of whom run their own workshops, one of which is located in New York.
The firm's clients include: the General Staff of the Polish Army, the Border Guard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, courts, and many other offices and non-governmental organizations, such as trade unions.
Commercial companies, banks, large stores, and manufacturers also use the studio's services. Although small services require the relatively largest input of work and generate the smallest income, every order is treated very seriously. M. Cegielski also does not refuse when something needs to be done for society. He was, among other things, a co-creator of the emblem in the Senate of the Republic of Poland, and at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he created a commemorative plaque commemorating J. Piłsudski's stay in Croatia. A small portion of the work was also done "unofficially" during the Martial Law period.
In Mr. Cegielski's workshop, votive plaques were also created with the names of those murdered in Katyn, Kharkiv, and Miednoje. These plaques were hung in the Field Cathedral of the Polish Army.
For his charitable work, Mr. Marian received the Order of St. Stanislaus, awarded to people who are able to share their work with others.
Marian Cegielski is a four-time winner of the "Warsaw Quality Mark" competition in the years 2001-2004 (2004 GRAND PRIX).
