The museum was established in the 1990s.,
on the initiative of Eleanor and Zdzisław Gałecki.
The Blacksmithing Museum in Warsaw is
private museum with approved statute
by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
It is a member of the Association of Open-Air Museums in Poland.
The museum includes a blacksmith's forge with an area of 30 m², of timber-framed, log construction, with equipment characteristic of suburban blacksmith's forges from the early 20th century in the Masovian region.
